Terms of Use
Effective date: August 25, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Only Signature. The operator is DuoTap LLC.
By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and Apple’s applicable App Store terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Only Signature does
Only Signature lets you draw a handwritten signature and initials, preview how an image will look on a fictional sample document, and export supported image formats. It creates a reusable visual asset. It is not a document-signing platform.
The app does not request your real document, send signature requests, manage contracts, verify a signer, or provide a signing audit trail.
2. Authorized use only
You may create, store, or export only a signature or initials that you are legally authorized to use. You are responsible for obtaining any permission required before using another person’s mark.
You may not use Only Signature for:
- forgery, impersonation, fraud, or identity theft;
- unauthorized use of another person’s signature or initials;
- misrepresentation of authority, consent, approval, identity, or intent;
- unlawful alteration of a document;
- infringement of intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- evading a recipient’s required identity, witness, notary, or signing process;
- any unlawful, harmful, or deceptive purpose.
Only Signature does not verify that you own or are authorized to use a drawing.
3. Not a digital-signature, identity, or notary service
Only Signature creates an image of handwriting. It does not:
- verify identity or signing authority;
- create or validate a cryptographic or qualified electronic signature;
- issue a certificate;
- notarize or witness a signature;
- provide tamper evidence, time stamping, or an audit trail;
- establish the time, place, identity, intent, or consent of a signer;
- provide legal advice;
- guarantee legal enforceability or recipient acceptance.
The terms “electronic signature,” “digital signature,” and “notarized signature” can have specific legal or technical meanings. Only Signature does not claim those services.
4. Your responsibility for exported files
You decide whether, where, and how to place or share an exported asset. You are responsible for checking:
- whether the recipient accepts an image signature;
- whether the document requires another signing method, witness, notary, certificate, identity check, or audit trail;
- whether the asset is correctly positioned, scaled, and associated with the intended document;
- access to and security of exported files, Files, AirDrop, email, messaging, and other destinations offered through Apple’s share sheet.
Only Signature does not guarantee that a recipient, court, agency, school, employer, landlord, healthcare provider, or other organization will accept an image signature.
5. Free white-background export
The free path exports the same high-quality strokes with accurate crop and padding on an opaque white background. Free formats include PNG and JPEG with a white background. JPEG does not support transparency.
You may repeat free white-background exports without an account or purchase.
6. Transparent Signature Set purchase
The planned U.S. price is $1.99, but the app displays Apple’s current localized StoreKit price and that displayed price controls.
One purchase unlocks transparent export for one Signature Set. A set includes:
- one full-signature slot; and
- one initials slot.
This is not a subscription, a global premium unlock, or lifetime access to transparent export for every signature you may create.
If both slots are complete before purchase, both are finalized together. If only one slot is complete, that slot is finalized and the other remains included and unclaimed. You may fill the unused included slot later without another purchase. Once finalized, a purchased slot is immutable.
You may re-export, share, rename locally, change filenames, and select any supported format for the same purchased set without another purchase.
7. New or changed drawings
Changing the actual strokes of a finalized signature or initials does not overwrite the purchased set. The original stays saved, and the changed version becomes a separate draft. You may edit and preview that draft for free. A new purchase is required only when you request transparent export for the new set.
“Duplicate as New Draft” preserves the original and creates a new draft subject to the same rule.
8. Apple purchase processing and refunds
Apple processes in-app purchases, payment methods, taxes, receipts, and refund requests under Apple’s terms. Purchase completion depends on Apple’s StoreKit verification and local durable association with the selected set.
Refund eligibility and decisions are controlled by Apple and applicable law. Request an Apple refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or through Apple Support. The operator cannot promise a refund or process Apple payment credentials directly.
A refund, restored transaction record, or consumed purchase cannot reconstruct signature artwork deleted from the device.
9. Local storage and app deletion
Only Signature has no app account and no developer-operated signature cloud. Drafts, purchased sets, drawings, labels, and related state are stored inside the app on your device.
Deleting a set, choosing Delete All Saved Signatures, losing or erasing the device, or deleting the app may permanently delete reusable artwork stored inside the app. Files you exported remain wherever you saved them. You are responsible for keeping any exported copy you need.
The app cannot restore deleted strokes from a consumed per-set purchase. A transaction record is not a copy of your artwork.
10. File formats
Only formats implemented and verified by the app are offered. PNG may be transparent or use a white background. JPEG always uses a white background because JPEG does not support transparency. SVG or PDF is offered only if the released app verifies the promised vector, scaling, and transparency behavior.
External apps and destinations may process or display files differently. You should confirm the result before relying on it.
11. App availability and changes
The operator may maintain, improve, or discontinue the app, subject to applicable law and Apple’s rules. Narrow product improvements do not change the purchase scope of an already purchased local set. The operator does not promise continuous availability of every device, operating-system version, export destination, or third-party integration.
12. Intellectual property
You retain any rights you have in the handwriting you provide and exported assets, subject to the rights of other people and applicable law. You grant the app only the local permission needed to process and export the content at your direction.
The Only Signature software, brand, interface, original fixture documents, website, and documentation are owned by the operator or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the app or brand.
13. Open-source software
The app may include open-source software governed by its own licenses. Required notices are available in the app. Those licenses control where they conflict with these Terms for the relevant component.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time. The operator may suspend support or pursue lawful remedies for fraud, infringement, abuse, attacks on the app or services, or other material violations. Termination does not give the operator access to delete files you exported outside the app.
Sections that by their nature should survive—including authorized-use responsibility, disclaimers, liability limits, intellectual property, and dispute terms—remain effective after termination.
15. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app and website are provided “as is” and “as available.” The operator disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement where disclaimer is permitted.
The operator does not warrant that every recipient will accept an image signature; that an export creates a legally enforceable signature; that local files cannot be lost; or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, unauthorized use, rejected documents, or losses arising from your export destination or misuse of an asset.
Where liability cannot be excluded, the operator’s aggregate liability will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the affected Signature Set or the minimum amount required by applicable law. This limit does not apply where prohibited, including liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Subject to those protections and any available small-claims process, disputes may be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Florida.
Nothing here prevents you from using a regulator, small-claims process, or other remedy that applicable law preserves.
18. Apple App Store terms
The app license is intended to use Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, with these Terms supplementing product-specific conduct, purchase, storage, and disclaimer rules. Apple’s standard EULA controls the app license where applicable.
You acknowledge that:
- these Terms are between you and the operator, not Apple;
- the operator, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its support, except as Apple’s terms provide;
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app;
- if the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price for the app, if any, as Apple’s terms require; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation;
- the operator, not Apple, is responsible for addressing product claims and intellectual-property claims as required by applicable law and Apple’s terms;
- you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not listed on a U.S. Government prohibited or restricted-party list;
- you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app;
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the provisions that benefit them.
Before submission, the operator will verify the then-current Apple standard EULA and developer agreement and update this section if required.
19. Changes to these Terms
The operator may update these Terms for legal, security, or product changes. The current version will be posted with its effective date. A change will not silently convert a past per-set purchase into a subscription or remove the promised re-export rights for that locally available purchased set.
